Academic program
At SoCE of USM, the Civil Engineering Bachelor's Degree curriculum is carefully crafted to provide students with a well-rounded education that prepares them for the challenges of the profession. Here are some key components of our curriculum:
Core Engineering Courses: It covers essential topics such as structural analysis, transportation engineering, geotechnical engineering, environmental engineering, and construction management.
Elective Courses: Students have the flexibility to tailor their education to their interests and career goals by choosing from a variety of elective courses and specialized tracks.
Design Projects: Throughout the program, students work on design projects that challenge them to apply their knowledge and skills to solve real-world engineering problems. These projects culminate in a final capstone project that integrates all aspects of civil engineering.
Internships: Students have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through internships with industry partners. These experiences provide valuable insights into the profession and help students build professional networks.
