Heavy Structures Laboratory
With a strong floor of 6 m x 22 m of 600 kN capacity per meter grid and testing frames with a capacity of up to 2,000 kN maximum single point load, the laboratory is capable of carrying out full-scale tests for various structural elements, building components, pile capacity, etc. Major facilities include:
- A set of Shimadzu 1000 kN UTM
- One unit of 250 kN capacity dynamic UTM
- Loading frames with various fixings
- Displacement and strain measuring facilities
- Data acquisition system
