Ciptaan USM Menang Anugerah di Bangkok

bangkok1NIBONG TEBAL, 8 Februari 2017 – Pensyarah dan pelajar Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) berjaya memenangi anugerah di 2017 Bangkok International Intellectual Property, Invention, Innovation and Technology Exposition bersempena dengan Thailand Investors’ Day 2017 baru-baru ini.

Melalui ciptaan NR-Ag Ball: Degradation of Dyes Using Natural Rubber in Water Treatment Tank, kumpulan yang terdiri daripada gabungan pensyarah dan pelajar dari Kampus Induk dan Kampus Kejuruteraan USM ini berjaya merangkul tiga anugerah iaitu Special Innovation Award (Canada), Special Award (Korea) dan Medal Awards (Gold).

Training on Industrial Wastewater Analysis (TIWA' 2017)

tiwa17We are pleased to inform that the School of Civil Engineering, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) will be organising a hands-on program, “Training on Industrial Wastewater Analysis (TIWA' 2017)”.  This 2-day program covers the aspects of theory and practical related to the analysis of wastewater parameters that are enlisted in the Standard B, Environmental Quality (Industrial Effluent) Regulations 2009, Environmental Quality Act 1974.

taksiah17Prof. Dr. Taksiah A. Majid telah dilantik sebagai Dekan, Pusat Pengajian Kejuruteraan Awam yang baharu menggantikan Prof. Dr. Ahmad Farhan Mohd Sadullah yang dilantik sebagai Timbalan Naib Canselor Akademik dan Antarabangsa (TNCAA),USM.
Pelantikan Prof. Dr. Taksiah A.Majid selaku Dekan Pusat Pengajian Kejuruteraan Awam berkuat kuasa mulai 1 Februari 2017 hingga 31 Disember 2018.

Professor Ahmad Farhan Appointed As New USM DVC (Academic and International)

Professor Dr. Ahmad Farhan Mohd. Sadullah, 50, whose expertise is in the field of Transport Engineering, has been appointed as the new Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International) effective 15 March 2017 for a three-year term.

He will succeed Professor Dato’ Dr. Ahmad Shukri Mustapa Kamal, 58, who has been in office since 15 September 2007.

IGNITE-AICCE'17 Conference


ignite2017Toyohashi University of Technology (TUT) in collaboration with Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) will be hosting International Conference of Global Network for Innovative Technology (IGNITE) and AWAM International Conference in Civil Engineering in Penang Resort, Penang, Malaysia on the 8th till 10th August 2017. Following the success of the previous IGNITE in 2016, USM and TUT are organizing the event again in 2017 (IGNITE-AICCE'17) but with a more specific theme of: Sustainable Technology and Practice for Infrastructure and Community Resilience.

The conference welcomes researchers, scholars, scientists, and professionals to present their works and share on their recent findings.
