Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing ceremony between SoCE and Tuxuri Sdn. Bhd.

NIBONG TEBAL, 15 January 2019 - The partnership was sealed through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing ceremony between School of Civil Engineering, USM and Tuxuri Sdn Bhd after several series of meeting and discussions. The MoA was signed by the Vice Chancellor, Profesor Datuk Dr. Asma Ismail and Mr. Ahmad Azrin Zainal Abidin, Chief Executive Officer of Tuxuri Sdn Bhd, witnessed by Prof Taksiah Abdul Majid, the Dean of School of Civil Engineering (representing by Dr Shaharuddin Shah Zaini) and Mr Ubaida bin Othman, the Chief Operating Officer of Tuxuri Sdn Bhd.

Tuxuri Sdn Bhd is an IT company that actively involved in development of custom geo web and mobile based applications through their TuxGeo+ Platform. For this time being the collaboration will focusing on the application of TuxGeo+ Transit for establishing the Journey Planner for Engineering Campus, USM. Among the agendas in the MoA are the development of Journey Planner for the bus users in Engineering Campus focusing CAT and Bus Rapid Penang Route 803, workshop for developing GTFS and Hackathon event.
